IMO VXM Series AC Drives

Integrated Output Filter / Soft Switching - (4th generation IGBT's) typically now ½ of other IGBT inverters, about 5kV/µS, giving substantially superior performance in many ways, e.g.:

  1. Motor - reduced peak voltage, less stress on insulation and bearing fluting currents effect.
  2. Long Cables - can drive into longer cables as earth leakage currents are halved.
  3. EMC - most obvious benefit, less electromagnetic radiation and therefore emissions.

5 year warranty - the very highest quality and integrity with the longest warranty supporting it. Less hassle on longer commissioned projects. Larger main circuit capacity than competitors' equipment, better reliability.

High Performance - Starting Torque up from 150% to 200% open loop, 150% holding at zero speed (PG), 0.02% speed holding (PG), faster response, bi-polar input. Torque control. PID.

Maintenance Information

  1. Capacitors - life expectancy / remaining information. Programmable output alarm for maintenance before a dramatic (high cost!) failure occurs!
  2. Fans - life expectancy / remaining information with on / off control to enhance fan bearing life.

EMC

  1. Footprint design - space saving and high performance up to 22kW. 30kW upwards, compact slim design. Lower Earth Leakage.
  2. Domestic - Class B as standard (up to 22kW)
  3. Soft Switching - less at source of the problem. Also control power is also low noise design (half resonance switching technology)
  4. DC chokes offered optionally as specified to reduce low order harmonics, enhance lifetime.
